Across Nexus’ operations, many of our team members have been preparing for expected severe winter weather which could bring ice, sleet and snow. While weather predictions and impact continue to be updated every day, our teams in the Atlantic Coast, Gulf Coast, Northeast and South regions have been busy preparing to support continued service while keeping team members safe.

Safety First: Power outages are a concern when ice accumulates on power lines. The safety of our team members and their families is our number one priority. We are reviewing safety measures including communication technology so we can stay connected.

Emergency Response Prep: Local leadership has been in close communication with their team members to support their safety and the safety of our customers. Our team members are ensuring that all equipment and generators are available where they may be needed. Emergency suppliers are also available should they be required.

Customer Service Team: The customer service team continues to support customers. If needed, the team is prepared to shift to taking emergency-only calls, and call handlers are supporting customers through the weekend. In addition, information was sent to customers in the impacted areas to remind them of how to stay informed of any service-related alerts and prepare their homes to prevent frozen pipes.
